Vocational Spotlight: Susan Welsh
Susan Welsh is the Executive Director of the Museum of Arts and Sciences, the largest general purpose museum in Georgia and the only nationally accredited museum in Macon. A statewide leader in innovative arts-infused science (STE+aM) programming, the Museum serves an estimated 75,000 each year and attracts visitors from 45 states and 130 counties in Georgia.
Susan is a graduate of the University of Georgia but also studied studio art and art history at Wesleyan College. She holds professional memberships with the American Alliance of Museums, Association of Science-Technology Centers, Association of Fundraising Professionals, and Counsel for Advancement and Support of Education. She is the Past-President of the Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors and also serves on the Coliseum Health System Board of Trustees, Friends of Macon Music, Navicent President's Leadership Council, and Wesleyan College's Confucius Institute Advisory Board, among others.
