Vocational Spotlight: Steve Allen
Steve Allen is founder and owner of egg media, a website design, hosting and marketing firm in Macon. He currently serves approximately 150 clients in many diverse fields including local governments, non-profit organizations, associations, attorneys, medical, churches, real estate, construction, museums, restaurants, retail stores and more.
Steve started building websites in 1994, when they first began. He created an online collaboration service for musicians in 1995. This caught the attention of New York-based About.com, who hired him to be Online Music Guide for the next 10 years. In Atlanta, he was Public Relations Officer for the Consulate General of Japan, and retired after 20 years of service.
Steve moved back to his hometown of Macon in 2001 and decided to start his own business. He’s an honors graduate of the Henry Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia and also holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Georgia State University. Above all, he enjoys being a Rotarian.
